Anyone else watch the 2-hour premiere on NBC? It was better than I expected. Lots of funny stuff.

Yeah believe it not my daughter is watching it.

Get this - she deleted my Lost DVR recording and added one for this show! I know Lost is in reruns but still....

It was on tonight as I was reading and working in the kitchen. So many of the acts were really bad!!! Not that I'm any sort of judge.

But I am not taking on this show! Remember, I want to be TV Showless this summer....that's my plan anyways.

It did extremely well last night. If these numbers hold up, it'll be this summer's hit.

At 9 p.m., the first hour of "America's Got Talent" did a 7.3/13 for NBC. FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" was second with a solid 6.2/10. CBS' "Criminal Minds" did a 5.5/11, far ahead of an anemic "Lost" repeat on ABC. The WB's "One Tree Hill" was fifth, beating the 0.6/1 for UPN's documentary, which averaged an impressively low 714,000 viewers for its running time.

In its second hour, the "America's Got Talent" premiere had an 8.0/14 for NBC. CBS' "CSI: NY" had a 6.6/11 for second, leaving ABC's "Lost" repeat way back in third.

It's just the Gong Show regurgitated. I didn't like it at all.

I thought it was pretty funny, but it also seems like every show now days is either a copy of Survivor, American Idol or The Amazing race. This one fits into that American Idol copy section.

I agree. The judges were awful (Hasselhoff/talent?). I also hated that Piers ran the whole show. Everything was the way he wanted to do it. I'd love to see that moron train a parrot in an hour. And the rappin granny thing was funny when the first one did it a decade ago. Some other rappin grannies can actually rap at least.

yeah, I know. What was up with Piers hitting everyone else's buttons? It was like he controlled the entire show. He is pretty much just a copy of Simon Cowell too.

Season 2 starts tonight!

New host... Jerry Springer takes over for Regis.

New judge... Sharon Osbourne replaces Brandy.

Catfights between the judges have been bad, especially Sharon and Piers. She has nearly quit the show multiple times because of it.

Sounds like a trainwreck! :D

2-hour premiere at 9pm ET/PT, regular timeslot is 8pm ET/PT, two hour episodes through at least the 19th.
