A strong gust blowing over my wife's car during Jeanne in South FL.

Just looking at the post count and that if you click on the link you download the pic and who knows what else. To me, it looks like somebody trying something fishy.

I couldn't see anything either in that pic. It looks like smoke but could be rain coming off a roof but I'm not sure. There is a car on the left side of the pic but it's not damaged or falling over/flipped over. Strange alright :spam: .

Hmmm...

The picture doesn't seem dangerous, but it's still bizarre.

I've never experienced a hurricane where the picture-worthy wind gusts come before the rain. The cars in the picture are not wet.

It is rain caught in a very strong gust of wind blowing over the roof of my wife's car. I think the nightime storms are particularly scary.

No, it's smoke.

Rain at night would cause light to reflect vividly off of every drop, like this...

I took the photo. It's not smoke. The velocity of the wind gave the rain the appearance of smoke. There was nothing burning in my front yard. 8-)

I saw some pretty bizarre things when Charley rolled through here. When the wind is whirling around the rain no longer looks like rain its kinda a jumbled up mess. That picture does look an aweful lot like smoke though.

Well welcome to the boards phan000, by the way where abouts where you living when Jeanne rolled through?
