This was a rather dark lunar eclipse compared to the others I've seen, it didn't so much grow red as it did become brown, and later vanish altogether. Now it's 6:00 am and the sky is beginning to brighten. Game Over. Still a very nice eclipse overall, with excellent viewing conditions.

Oh okay, was just wondering. You are a bit further west than me so you had a bit of a better view. I am holding out till Feb. :D

And of course, it rains again at 7 pm to totally screw any hopes I had of watching it after totality.

I was totally screwed up on the time. I forgot to take daylight savings time into consideration but my husband saw it.

Spooktacular, Dennis? An appropriate description, given that the retail stores will be beginning their promotions for Halloween soon following Labor Day.

I didn't get to see the eclipse. It was cloudy with rain in the area. It figures. We broil for two or three weeks and it rains on the morning of the lunar eclipse. Nice.
