Moment of Truth: Is it worth it?

#1 Postby HURAKAN » Thu Mar 20, 2008 3:54 pm

She destroyed her marriage and got no money for it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=FzZWqYWhdQw

Only if you're a saint or you don't care about anything, you should go to this program. I think it's too much and underpaid. Some personal secrets should be priceless.

What do you think?

I think it's an absurd premise for a TV show and have never watched it.

I almost never have time to watch these stupid shows but I was watching "Colbert Report" (because it's kind of funny, I disagree with must of what he says) and this came up.

I also think the Moment of Truth could be a fake, but I saw in the news not long ago a similar type of show in Colombia that the network was sue like twice because they went too far.

They keep losing when they get far into the game (beyond $100 000). I say no one should go on this show unless you don't have a family or anything secret.

It'll be off the air before December. At least I think so.

Okay, my family was bored out of our minds last night and flipping channels. We watched 3 or so minutes of Idol, couldn't take it (sorry to fans out there, this just isn't our type of entertainment), next Wife Swap and somehow we stopped at Moment of Truth.

We flipped back and forth between Wife Swap and Moment of Truth.

Now, I want to fix up the jerk boyfriend with the slutty wife! Of course her questions will continue on the next episode but she seemed proud of her truthful answers (and behavior). Same with the previous contestant - first off I can't believe that he managed to attract his girlfriend and second, I hope she dumped him the minute he was done. The husband of the next contestant needs to walk too!

Some show this is.....LOL

I realize it's probably scripted. And the questions are not going to be - what did you eat for breakfast. And I guess faithful, devoted spouses would be too boring but as we watched, we kept saying - what an idiot (guy) - what a slut (wife)!

I think I'd rather have my girlfriend then 100,000 bucks.

FOX doesn't seem to grab the best ideas IMO (Minus 24 and are you smarter then a fifth grader, those shows are awesome)

Oh Brent - you would like this show....j/k......:-)

It had been bugging me no end to remember where I'd seen the host before. Then his bio on IMDB cleared up the mystery. He hosted a short lived reality show done right here in Cincinnati, called the Mansion. It aired on Saturday mornings, at a house I used to drive past all the time. Small world.......

Anyway, back to Moment of "Truth".....LOL

That's what I did too the whole hour. The last episode of MOT should be well worth watching, lets see how high this one gets.

With the woman, why is it that very hard questions started being asked right off the top? For the first 4-5 questions, they were the type that would be used for the $100,000 area questions.
