Mornin' Dennis! I'm amazed at how many plants DO have healing powers! I have over 500 herb books in my "library"......and it never ceases to amaze me the capabilities of trees, shrubs, plants, and grasses!
I think I'm pretty old to realize that EVERYTHING we need for life itself can be GROWN!! Whether it's for shelter, medicine, food, clothing, or just "feasts-for-the-eyes"......we can produce it!
Often, even plants considered weeds have great healing properties! I remember my very first herb garden......when the weed Nettle planted itself there, I researched it and found it to be a beneficial plant.....so I left it! Those "healing powers" can be taken from roots, leaves, stems, seeds, flowers.......or even the pure scents! Amazing thing.....plants!!
My gardens are full of plants that I'm still just learning their usefulness. (Have to admit though, my personal "healing" comes from just nurturing them.....and seeing their response!) Working in my gardens gives me needed quiet time from a too busy life......even the addition of listening to the birds and watching busy bees brings me welcome positive vibes!..........p
