Iranian boy spared by judge but executed anyway.

Iranian teen hung for homosexuality by local authorities after the chief justice spared his life.

This is wrong is many ways. I may be personally opposed to gay marriage and all, but I don't think people should be killed for being homosexual.

Just noticed this story is six months old.

No gays in Iran: Ahmadinejad

I guess that is true if they hang them all. At least no gays who'll admit it.

As much as this story is old, and probably true. I get the feeling that the only reason it was reported in the west is as anti-Iranian propaganda.

And no, no-one should be killed for their sexuality.

MSNBC is no friend of the current administration. Not to talk politics, but they run the liberal version of Bill O'Reilly, Keith Olbermann, in the same time slot.

(And not talking politics, but both O'Reilly and Olbermann are inconsistent blowhards who shed heat without much light, and embarass their respective ideologies).

No one should be killed for their sexuality, but we must realize that Iran is theocracy, and if this kind of act goes against the Koran, is like committing an act in the US that is against the Constitution. Now, the punishment is too severe but what can you expect from Iran.

:uarrow:

I'm not denying that it's against their culture, but as I said, I think it's only reported to make people dislike Iran.

There are some people like me who have intensely disliked the Iranian Government since a "minor" incident they perpetrated in 1979.

True. There was also that business last year with those 15 British sailors.

lets not forget that this can also happen in Iraq, Afganistan, and Saudi Arabia. But you can bet it won't be reported.

Yep Cryomaniac I remember that, luckily that didnt last quite as long but the effect was still strong enough.

Amazing that they can get away with things like this.
