Sad news:Cojoined twins die after surgery

#1 Postby cycloneye » Tue Jul 08, 2003 6:01 am

They lost a lot of blood in the surgery to separate them and for that reason they died.

Very sad news, just saw it on CNN also. A story like this leaves you almost speechless. So sad.

I was feeling that they would make it thru the surgery and all would be well. It is very sad indeed. Two very brave, courageous women. :(

Oh, that is too bad. After following another similar to this one a few years ago and everything turning out well for them, I had hope. Sad news indeed. :(

And to think, you're a firefighter admiring their courage. Wow.

Thank YOU for all your courage.

(Used to work in ER, so it didn't take 9/11 for me to realize how brave you guys are. I've known it for some time.)

Yes, they were very brave indeed. The surgery was very risky to begin with.

my understanding was they knew what a risk they were taking.. I sure prayed they would make it tho. I just can't imagine what life was like for them. They sure seemed like two very giving women, and very happy with life. One of them wanted to be a lawyer.

Too bad indeed. A risky risky surgery it was. They went for it with unfortunate results. :(

I believe the initial reports was of one passing away as of early this morning and the report of the second must have come out closer to dawn Eastern.
