Anyone read Christian fiction? Who are your favorite authors?
I like:
Jan Karon - Mitford series - these are the sweetest little books, they just make you feel serene and happy and warm!
Bode Thoene - Zion series my favs of hers, couldn't put them down - about Israel in 1948, fiction, but learned lots of historical facts never heard elsewhere
Terri Blackstock - Reading the last of her Restoration series, these are page turners: suspense, thrills; her Cape Refuge murder mystery series good, too.
Dee Henderson - Loved her Hero's series - one a Navy Seal, one a female Air Force pilot, etc.; right now starting her O'Malley Chronicles - very good!
Kay Arthur - she mainly writes non-fiction. I loved "Israel, My Beloved" but my mom didn't like it. It's hard to follow, because it transcends centuries of history of the Jewish people, yet Israel is sybolically represented by protagonist.
Francine Rivers - And The Shofar Blew was excellent

Tim Lahaye and Jerry Jenkins. Loved the Left Behind series. Reminded me of Alas Babylon.

Re: Favorite authors
Cookiely, I totally forgot the Left Behind series, I loved them!
Dawn & Jinkers, John Grisham has been one of my favorites for years. Also Tom Clancy, though I liked his earlier stuff better than some of the ones he partnered with others. If you like Clancy, you probably like Clive Cussler, have just finished another of his.
