Isaac Hayes, Grammy-winning musician has died at 65

Soul singer Isaac Hayes, who won Grammy awards and an Oscar, has died at his home in Tennessee, police say.

from TMZ:

Musician Isaac Hayes -- who wrote the theme song for "Shaft" -- died early this morning in a Memphis hospital.

According to WMC, a Shelby County sheriff's deputy responded to call from Hayes' wife after she found him on the floor near a treadmill inside their home.

Hayes was taken to Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, and was pronounced dead at 2:08 AM. Cops are investigating, but do not believe foul play was a factor.

Awwwwwwwww :cry: . I loved his style of singing on Shaft and I liked his performance in Escape from NY. I'll need to watch that again, this time not for fun or a good movie night, but at the falling of a star.

How weird...i posted part of the lyrics to "shaft" last night in chat. A song/movie i hadn't thought about in years and i come in here to find he has died. rip :(
