I'm now staying in Cojimar, Cuba

#1 Postby wyq614 » Thu Oct 02, 2008 2:15 pm

I have arrived in Cuba at 12p.m local time on Sept. 30

Everything is fine, but it does take us some time to obtain Internet access.

6 persons share a room, the room is pretty good, but the problem is that we don't have hot water for bathing.

We are still trying to get used to Cuban cuisine.

I'll be back (to China) on 1 June 2009.

It seems that we now have constant Internet access, that is essential for us....

What a concidence (sp?), just a minute ago I went back to your thread on how your going to Cuba and I was wondering if you saw any of the devastation from hurricane's Gustav and Ike. If you heard it, they said it was some of their worst hurricanes in recent times.

As a native of Qingdao, you'll have to let us know how the local Cuban cerveza compares.

Studying abroad in Cuba? You get to see any damages in Cuba from Gustav and Ike?

Thanks, hurricanebill. I think the first devastation I saw was at the airport. The mark Jose Marti-La Habana on the top of the building can only be seen as "Jos i-La H a"now, I think the missing letters were blown away by hurricanes.
