Pro-Bush cartoon or assassination threat?

I say it's pro-Bush. I understand what the artist means by "political assassination."

I don't think Michael Ramirez thought it through very well but yes, I think it's meant to be pro-Bush. He is a Republican and would certainly not suggest an assassination on President Bush.

It was well-meant, I'm sure, BUT...there are a thousand other ways in which the cartoonist could have visually delivered that message without running afoul of the Secret Service, which DOES take any threat very seriously.
