Please give me your opinion on this.

Now this is just my opinion, so don't yell at me, but this is what I think.

Has anyone seen the video of Iraqi's throwing rocks and stones at our hummer's and tanks? With the killing of atleast 1 military personnel every day, this really makes me mad.

We come in there, and litterally save them from all the poverty that Saddam put them through, and now they're getting all mad at us.

Since they are killing 1 of us every day, my opinion really is, if you come across another group of them throwing stones, I say shoot 2 warning shots in the air, and if they keep throwing stones, you throw bullets.

Just my opinion. ;)

If someone came into my neighborhood with tanks and hummers..I would do more than throw stones..think about it..they don't want us there!!! Time to leave!!

I'd like to see us get Saddam. Then we can go. If we just leave he'll get back in power and we'll have wasted our time. As long as he's still alive, Iraquis are afraid to embrace us. That coverage is what the news organizations want us to see because it makes good TV. They should be showing thoughtful interviews with iraquis, or something worthwhile. But that would make everyone's brain hurt, so they show people throwing rocks for the visceral reaction and to shape opinion here.

Sorry Rainband but I couldn't disagree more. (respectfully of course :-) )
We have created a power vaccuum and Saddam is still loose in the country. The hardest thing to do is to stay focused and finish the job. For the Iraqi's to have a chance to build a stable and free government we have to stay until they are on their feet. That's the responsibility that comes with liberating Iraq.

They need stability, and since their isn't any they get mad and throw rocks. No security and no government is what has them all riled up i believe.

I wonder what kind of gov't could take root there. I don't think that we'll see a western style democracy. It seems that the population is used to being ruled by a strongman, and while I'm no history expert, I would imagine that this country has been ruled by strongmen throughout their history, at least when it's not been under the control of outsiders. So how will these people govern themselves? I don't see how you can just set up a democracy and expect it to work. They are used to "voting" with bullets. How do you re-program a country?
