Rainband, sure we have a right to know our troops are being killed. The point is where is the balanced reporting? Do we realy believe that there is no positive news? Where is the perspective? Where is the news on the reconstruction of Iraq? More people die violent deaths in Los Angeles everyday... Yes it's tragic we are losing men in Iraq but this is a small price to pay for freedom. Those that have served and are serving their country now understand this! The reporting by the mainstream media is intended to throw a liberal biased slant on the Iraqi war and cast it in the worst possible light.
As far as the WMD, again Saddam had 12 years to hide these in a country the size California! I understand why we haven't found them yet. If you remember the story about the parts of the centrifuge (nuclear weapons) that the scientist was ordered to bury. The reason he was ordered to hide it was so that the nuclear program could be reinstituted once the heat was off. Also please explain why the Iraqi troops were equipped with NEW chemical and biological suits? If the WMD didn't exist why did they need them... The big liar here is and has been Saddam. You can roll your eyes all you want but we did the right thing! As the remnants of the regime are destroyed and more people come forward we will get a better picture of the WMD programs. I hope the naysayers are just as quick to acknowledge the facts when they come out as they have been to critize President Bush!

They won't apologize, Marshall; they will just go on to the "economy", which we wouldn't have if (a) the SEC on Clinton's watch hadn't let the corporate barons overstate earnings, therefore precipitating the financial downturn as early as 1998, and (b) if 9-11-01 hadn't happened, plunging the markets worldwide to unprecedented lows, and forcing the U.S. to fight terror, wherever and under whose patronage it flourishes...something the Dems are notoriously inept at doing.
