The Sunflower State Games of 2003

#1 Postby David » Sat Jul 19, 2003 12:12 am

I'm sure some of you have this in your state. It's where many different sporting events are held in 1 city, and athletes from all over the state come in and compete.

Last Year, I participated in the Sunflower State Games that were held for the first time in Topeka.

Track:

1500M Run: Placed 5th Overall, 3rd in age category.
800M Run: Placed 3rd Overall, 2nd in age category.

1500M run was at 9:30AM, 800M run was at 1:30PM.

**Note: Temps were above or at 100°F 5 out of the 6 days the games were held.**

This year I will be doing those same events, they are held next Saturday, same times.

Wish me luck, i'll keep you updated on how I do. :)

Thank you!

Well everyone, it's tomorrow. 10 days ago it was suppose to be 82 tomorrow, now it's gonna be 102. So much for long-range accuracy.

Long range weather forecasts were never said to be accurate.
