IMPEACHED by the Illinois House.

Senate still has to have a trial to convict and remove him from office but I don't have any doubt they will.

I think that there was one lone "no" vote against impeaching him. I wonder who it was and whether he/she will be voted back into office the next election...

He didn't get re-elected in November and his term ends next week.

Blags hasn't even been indicted yet. Assuming Illinois impeachment rules work like our US Senate, it takes a super-majority, and the investigation was shut down before Blago actually committed the crime of selling the Senate seat, because the Chicago Trib intentionally ended the investigation by printing a story on the wiretaps.

In Chicago, both Dems and Republicans work together on corrupt deals, and there are rumors of Mafia involvement, the Trib may have been protecting someone by ending the investigation before all the fish were in the net.

Removed from office by the Illinois Senate. Not a single no vote!
