I'm surprised they didn't mention that the class of 2007 doesn't remember when it was "the AIDS scare" and not just another one of the many STD's that they learn about in health class now.

I remember all but "Walk a mile for a Camel" but I did say that one all the time because an older friend introduced me to it.

Can we help it the class of 2007 missed all the fun?! We learned how to use our imagination! There's a lot to be said for that in my opinion! :-)

Ok OK I'm an old fart! ;-)

I do believe their writing skills are generally disappointing, their patience is measured in seconds, and they still wonder how we got to school if they didn't allow kids to bring cars?

Still...every now and then I meet one who surprises me to death with respect, intellect, an adventuresome spirit, and an appreciation for a veteran.

I never fail to tell them how much I appreciate them when I do...and it seems to mean something even though I'm in my 50's!
