I Changed My Mind
Fox News just played a portion of Gore's speech where he was bashing Bush. I've changed my mind....possible shoe-in for Bush or not...I don't think I can stomach another campaign with him. His arrogance and speech pattern like he's talking to 4 year old kids is just more than I can take!!

I'm confused...you talking about Gore or Bush speaking like he's talking to 4-year olds?
Honestly, Gore sounds effeminate to me. I can't help but hear a slight slur and lisp in his speech and then I can't take him seriously.
Clinton's worse. He always sounded like he was reading a book report in front of his high school English class. I remember one time, long after the Monica thing was over, and he was talking about Iraq. He was so stern and sounded very presidential. I thought to myself, "Damn...maybe you are gonna leave us something to remember your Presidency by." But then he didn't do anything...and we know what happened because he didn't.

I guess you haven't read enough posts by me GD
hehe
I'm talking about Gore!! I had just seen a portion of his speech. Too bad I can't actually "speak" on here...lol...or I could mimic him.
It's that tone he uses...like he's talking to 4 year olds or something...and must talk like this so we stupid Americans can understand his royal highness.
lol

Yeah, I'd read most of your posts and I would have thought you were talking about Gore because I took you to be a Bush supporter.
But when you said you changed your mind, that confused me.
Got it now.
Sorry for the confusion. My fault!! In another post last week I was talking about how I wanted Gore to run because his running might elevate Bush's chances of re-election from likely to shoe-in. As if everyone read that....

I guess I should have been clearer. Sorry about that.

IMO, Gore simply picked up where he left off. His remarks were meant to have both substance and impact. Instead it showed his inability to be sensitive when we need to be and tune in to policies not people.
If that was his first shot out of the gate...he just reminded us of what we had all forgotten...and he did so in less than three minutes!
He's lost credibility with me already....and he clearly can't reverse that.
Too bad about Tipper. Had Clinton been married to someone of her character, well, let's just say they would not be in the same state these days.

I'm glad he "changed" his mind. I could see Dems telling him to run and he gives in.
I heard some of his speech, and he's saying it's the President's fault for the economy, etc. I would love to ask ANYONE who says he did something wrong "What would YOU of done better?" I don't think they know how hard it has been on that administration after 9/11. Nothing could really stop it, nor the affects after it. Me, personally, am glad BUSH took that task, and not GORE in office.
