I voted undecided. There's just not enough information available yet for me to hang him or let him go free.

Some people have expressed that a woman wouldn't put herself through all that...etc. -----IF what I've heard about this woman is true, I have no doubt she would do this for attention/money. She apparently tried to kill herself earlier this year. She bragged about Kobe's "manhood" to friends. I heard some other disturbing things about her that made me wonder how reliable her testimony would be but I don't know if these are just rumors or not.

I think that most athletes/celebrities kind of think they are invincible so if he did rape her, he probably didn't think all of this would happen. If he did the crime, he should do the time. I'm just not sure yet he did the crime....meaning rape of course....obviously he did commit adultery. (but that's not illegal)

Kobe is on trial. His victim is also...being under the microscope for every wrong move she may have made in her life.

Kobe will survive it...and may not live as happily ever after as he could have, but will drive off in the sunset in his Jag.

The victim will have learned an awful lot...about crimes that can take place without victims....and how you need to make sure you know what you are getting into BEFORE you do.

Kobe's wife has 50% written all over her. She's obviously balancing her image as a victim, a supportive wife, and someone who knows that money is at stake.

Saddest part for me is the redefinition of adultery that is taking place. Our own President lowered the bar (and his Presidential shorts as well) for Americans through his actions. Kobe has admitted to adultery hoping for a slap on the wrist and a forgiving wife.

And the message, of course, is that if you find yourself in trouble again...admit to adultery, a consensual encounter, a sexual escapade, and those will soon become acceptable.

I can hear it already.

Geez honey, where have you been? Didn't you see how Kobe's wife stood by him and held his hand and showed he was forgiven? Hey sweetie, we're not movie stars or sports heroes...just regular people, you and me. So I promise I won't do it any more and you, well, you can be as forgiving as Kobe's dear wife can't you? Sure you can. There, there....

Yuk!
