Another Worker Hit By Lightning
I just heard on the early evening news that another person has been hit by lightning. The person was a maintence worker . The lightning hit a utility pole and traveled outward under ground and then came up to hit the worker. He was taken to the hospital complaining of numbness in his legs and arms.

Update on maintainence Worker
This is in the online News for my local area today and I thought you might like to know more about it.
"A repairman is recovering at home after lightning struck just a few feet from where he was working Thursday. The 41-year-old was working on an air conditioning unit at Miles Elementary in Hillsborough County. He was loading items into his truck when he felt the electrical surge. He was hospitalized after he complained of tingling in his muscles but was later released and is expected to be fine. "
I am glad that he has survived . Too many people have been hurt by lightning this year and the summer still isn't over even though school has started back here.

Two days ago, during a very heavy downpour, the first lightning strike came ... right above the area, and there was an instanteous clap of thunder. Fortunately, no one was struck. But sudden thunderstorms sometimes cme without warning and will catch people offguard.
About 1½ months ago, along Folly Beach, SC outside of Charleston, another sudden thunderstorm cropped up and the first lightning strike unfortunately struck a lifeguard while he sat in his lifeguard's chair. He was injured but survived the strike.
