Selena was a good singer...I wish she had been able to finish her English album! I love "Dreaming Of You"

She was an amazing person. Good singer, extremely charismatic and always taking care of those in need. She always took time from her busy schedule to talk to kids about education and gave a lot of money to non-profit organizations.

If she had not been killed, today she would be one of the biggest Hispanic stars of all time and she would have done very well in English too. A very talented individual. She was also a clothing designer and she used her own designs, which were very popular with her fans. She had two boutiques and it was reported she was making around $5 million only from clothing line.

I know...wasn't it her best friend that killed her? She put her friend in charge of the fan club finances, found out her friend was stealing from it, and was shot by her in a room of a hotel after confronting her? I also read that the shot didn't kill her instantly (and that she was even conscious afterwords), but she bled out before paramedics arrived. (I can't remember for sure, but didn't she stumble down to the lobby before dying?)

It really was a shame :( She did an awesome job with her Spanish songs, and as you said, I have no doubts she would of carried that success over when she sung her songs in English too. I was only 4 when this all occurred, but I know she paved the way for the other Latino artists here in America

If Selena had not been murdered, she would probably been a huge star like Shakira. It was big news when it happened.

I saw the movie about Selena with J Lo playing her part. They both look a lot alike.

Selena was a beautiful young woman. What a very sad story.

Her end is very sad indeed but it's interesting how person that was so successful for a very small period of time can be remembered by thousands and thousands of people. Her songs and what we tell the next generation about her is inspiring a lot of girls that were born after she was killed. Her untimely death elevated her legacy to such a level that she will never be forgotten. Selena will always be the prime example that doesn't matter your race, sex, status, etc, you can make it.
