North Korea Severs Ties With The South

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia_p ... 156834.stm

North Korea is to cut all relations with South Korea, Pyongyang's official news agency reports.

KCNA said the North was also expelling all South Korean workers from a jointly-run factory north of the border.

The move comes after an international report blamed North Korea for sinking a South Korean warship....

This is big news especially the expulsion of workers from the joint factory.

I saw that. The Insane One told his military to get ready for possible war, NK is accusing the South of having a bunch of their ships crossing the disputed border (with the threat of military action if it continues), and the South started psychological warfare today, after 6 years of none (along with NK threatening to destroy any of those facilities that are built/used along the DMZ).

Not a good news, especially for my hometown...

But everyone don't worry, once China cuts the aid off, NK can't even send one tank to the South.

S.KOREA ON ALERT, SEARCHING FOR N.KOREAN SUBS IN THE EAST SEA

http://english.yonhapnews.co.kr/nationa ... 00315.HTML

South Korea's military was tracking four North Korean submarines which disappeared from their east coast base after conducting naval training in the East Sea earlier this week, a military official in Seoul said Wednesday.

Locations of the North's four 300-ton-class submarines have been unknown for two days, the military official said, noting, "We are tracking the four submarines by mobilizing all naval capabilities in the East Sea."

The submarines left the Chaho base located near the Musudan-ri missile launch pad site in North Hamgyong province in North Korea's northeast coast, according to the official.

Recently when our premier met with NK's Kim the Fat, he talked about Reform and Opening Policy, it is the first time that Chinese leader talks about it with the Kims.

Edit: I don't know if you have the knowledge that actually China and NK share a relationship of alliance, if NK was hit by any "invasion", China appears to have the obligation to pay directly military aid (in other words: send troops to NK), the treaty was signed in 1961 during Mao's reign, it is revised every 20 years. Recent revisions took place in 1981 and 2001, now in China th voice for abolishing the treaty can be widely heard (personally I favor abolishment, too, but unfortunately we have to wait until 2021), because with this treaty Kim the Fat can do everything he likes to do and put China in dilemmas.

I've certainly heard about it. I personally doubt the current Chinese government would risk actually honouring the treaty if it came to that.

North Korean border guard 'shoots three Chinese dead'

China says a North Korean border guard shot and killed three people near the countries' border last week.

A fourth person was reportedly injured in the incident near the north-eastern border town of Dandong.

China has made a formal complaint to North Korea, a spokesman for the Chinese foreign ministry said.

The two countries are considered to be close allies and Beijing rarely makes any public criticism of its isolated neighbour.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told a regular news conference in Beijing that the four residents of Dandong, in Liaoning province, had been shot "on suspicion of crossing the border for trade activities".

"China attaches great importance to that and has immediately raised a solemn representation with the DPRK," he said, using North Korea's full name (Democratic People's Republic of Korea).

Unfortunately I think you are wrong. It would give them the opportunity to try to take us down to try to remove our title of the strongest and greatest country on earth.

In all reality I don't think the Chinese even aspire to have that claim..Granted they want Taiwan back but, I just don't get the feeling they are looking for world domination. I don't think anyone in their right mind would want the label the USA has gotten. We do most evenything we can for so many people and yet so many dispise us and not just for religious reasons. It's the stupid little countries that want to overturn the great US of A..and they are usually just jealous or hate us for religious reasons. I give them more credit than that.
