When do you, or your kid(s), start school?

Too soon! August 21st here. A week earlier than usual. I still haven't heard a good reason why it's so early this year. The early start has affected many things - no school papers from the HS yet, Orchestra Camp is now Thurs/Fri/Sat of this week. Camp on Saturday? Used to be Mon-Fri. My kids are so bummed, you just wouldn't believe it.

I'm dreading the early wakeup times again - 5:30 a.m. Ugh. I'm just now beginning to feel human again!!!!

Oh well....not much we can do about it.

School here in Lakeland, FL started on Aug. 6. My children are grown and graduated from school but in my job as a school crossing guard I am back on duty for the kids.

My brother is a senior at Menasha High...he starts Sept 2nd.

I start the Fall Semester at UWGB also on Sept 2nd

Ours start on August 26th.

Fox Cities Schools (Appleton and surrounding areas including Menasha) had a school district battle to start after Labor Day. This is the first year that the surrounding school districts enforced it.

My little girl starts her first day August 15th, and she is very excited. Being 4.8 years old I think its called pre-k. This is all new to my wife and I, and we can't wait to hear the little kid come home with all the classroom experiences.
