French fears 3000 dead

French health officials fear as many as 3,000 are dead from heat-related causes in a "veritable epidemic" blamed on record-high temperatures that are scorching much of Europe. The ministry of health based its estimate on reports from hospitals and the country's largest funeral home group, which reported a 37 percent increase in deaths over last year.

It's a terrible thing, but at least they can't blame the United States for causing the heatwave. Or can they? :o

It hasn't been real bad, my highest temp this year was 105°. Oh yeah, with a heat index of 119.
