Take the "Political Compass" test...

#1 Postby JetMaxx » Thu Aug 14, 2003 1:59 am

Here's a more expansive test to determine how liberal or conservative you are...
http://www.politicalcompass.org/

On this test I scored

+2.38
+3.79
-- or about as conservative as President George W. Bush and Margaret Thatcher.

It makes perfect sense since my political idols/ heroes are folks such as former President Ronald Reagan; former Congressmen Bob Barr and Newt Gingrich; former Senator Mack Mattingly; and columnists George Will and Ann Coulter.

Hmmm, well I scored a -4.00 and -2.31. I guess that puts me on the left side.

Well, at least I'm consistant!

Your political compass
Economic Left/Right: -4.50
Libertarian/Authoritarian: -1.44

Left/Libertarian - Think Nelson Mandela, The Dalai Lama

Interesting to note - I know we've covered this once before;

The chart also makes clear that, despite popular perceptions, the opposite of fascism is not communism but anarchism (ie liberal socialism), and that the opposite of communism ( i.e. an entirely state-planned economy) is neo-liberalism (i.e. extreme deregulated economy)

Economic: 4.25
Libertarian: -0.46

I'm about 40% from dead center on the "Right" median line, with no appreciable vertical position showing at all... according to the map of prominent people shown, no one was anywhere near me. :o

Surprisingly, the closest person of any note was Gerhard Schroeder, followed by Tony Blair...both, however, well "up there" in "Authoritarian" leanings.
