"Amber Alert Activated In Search For Endangered 11 Year Old Girl

Release Number: 11-185

Who:
Missing:

Savanna Emmanuelle Demetro
DOB: 10/23/99
Address: Missouri Ave. - unincorporated Clearwater

Description:
White female
5'6" tall
Brown hair - with two blonde streaks
Brown eyes
Approx. 220 lbs.
Last seen wearing a black skirt and a pink shirt

What: The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office and the FDLE have activated an Amber Alert in connection with a missing 11 year old Clearwater area girl.
The girl, identified as Savanna Emmanuelle Demetro was last seen at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28th, when she left her home to go to the movies. She did not return home. The Sheriff's Crimes Against Children detectives believe that Savanna may now be out of the area and in the company of an unidentified male subject.

Detectives have no description of the male subject or a vehicle at this time.

Anyone having any information about Savanna Demetro is asked to call:

727-582-6779 or 727-582-6009

Where: Savanna was last seen as she left her Clearwater area home to go to the movies.

When: Savanna was last seen at around 4:00 p.m., Thursday afternoon, July 28th.

How/Why:

A copy of the Amber Alert public bulletin is attached.


There are five criteria that have to be met before an Amber Alert can be issued:

1) The child must be under 18 years of age.
2) There must be a clear indication of an abduction.
3) The law enforcement agency's investigation must conclude that the child's life is in danger.
4) There must be a detailed description of the child and/or abductor/vehicle to broadcast to the public - and a photo of the child available.
5) The activation must be recommended by the local law enforcement agency of jurisdiction."
