A Navy jet crashed into an apartment complex in Virginia Beach, Va., on Friday, damaging or destroying several buildings but so far producing no reports of major injuries on the ground.

The two pilots managed to eject from the jet, an FA-18 Superhornet, the Navy said in a press release. One of the pilots was treated at a nearby hospital. Several people on the ground were treated for smoke inhalation, and at least one of those was transported to an area hospital, according to authorities.. There were no immediate reports of other injuries or fatalities.

That second picture is jaw dropping. You can't mistake why the fire happened in the first place with fighter jet engines intact sitting there on the ground. I'm glad that noone was seriously hurt or died.
