Schlitterbahn coming to Galveston?????

#1 Postby OtherHD » Mon Sep 29, 2003 9:39 pm

According to this article today from the Houston Business Journal, Galveston Island could be getting not one but two waterparks within the next 4-5 years...

EDIT: I changed the title to attract more attention. I would have thought at least someone from the area would be interested...

If you're driving to Galveston anyways (from Houston)- why go to a water park when you can go to the beach? Houston has quite a few water parks of it's own- if I want water parks I'll go to waterworld *grins* It's a 10 min drive from my house!

The BEACH though- that's fun!

There must be demand for waterparks in the Houston area.

I LOVE Shlitterbahn!! The one in New Braunfels where I went was ranked #1 waterpark in America on the Travel Channel. Anyway, I had so much fun there......I can't wait to have one closer to home in Galveston.......WOO-HOO!!!!!!!!

opera ghost.....yeah the beach is fun too but 2 totally separate kinds of fun!! Schlitterbahn is not your average water park. ;)
