ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#1 Postby therock1811 » Sat Sep 06, 2003 6:16 pm

If you get a POP-UP that says to "click here for the most shocking page on the internet", DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do, this will open your CD rom drives, pop up a page that says "Press Enter to Continue", or something else... I just paid after making this mistake... just a warning to all, ESPECIALLY those with AIM!!!!!!!!!! I am so angry I could SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmmmmm....cookies.....

Seriously, you just have to avoid curiousity,
nowadays with all of the viruses and worms
created by mean people who
have no life, no morals, and too much time
on their hands. I have been receiving a sudden
ton of crap mail which goes straight into
my bulk mail, and, I proceed to delete bulk
mail without even opening it up to have a
look.

Yep... stick with what you know and err on the side of caution. That is great advice while you are online. And now to the most important thing, who is baking me cookies? Breeze... is it you? ;)

I've got the Pop Up Stopper program downloaded, actually this new comp came with it. I NEVER, EVER trust anything anymore, like breeze said, there are just too many fruit cakes out there now!

I would bet you have some type of adware that got installed on your system. I guess you do not have a firewall installed. That would help you identify and stop it. You might try http://www.pcpitstop.com/ . You can get a system wide check for free. Everything from disk performance to spyware to internet connection speed.
