How's the color?

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Oct 04, 2003 8:10 am

How's the colors in your area? Our trees are just now starting to change, give it about another week to 10 days then they should be in FULL color. The trees here in the yard are *kinda* changing color, nuthin' spectacular yet.......the aspens in the high country, like I said, about another week then BAM! 8-) Stand by for pics also, you'll NOT believe this is Arizona :o

Leaves are half n half here, depending on species.

Most have some autumnal shades though, some are almost entirely autumnal.

The Ohio Valley has color already. We have two sweet gum Maples and both are at least 1/3 yellow by now. I saw a dark red maple the other day - the entire tree was dark red already! But most are just turning, we're supposed to have a very vivid fall color season this year. We've had a surplus of rain over the past 6 months or so and then very cold overnight temps have started. That speeds it along. If I see local pics in our paper I'll post them.

Still nice and green, just a few random trees that are all read or burgundy right now. But they are probably diseased or just missed the memo.

Can you say Green? Like Bronnie, we see green, dead and on the ground and that usually happens about mid December.

Not too much in the way of fall colors in my area yet, but I expect that to change in about 2 weeks.

Yeah, same with us John. There are a few that are showing alittle color. Actually, it's pretty strange with the cool (COLD) weather we've been having and we're still seeing green leaves!

The leaves here are showing a little color, but I think they'll show a lot by the end of the month.

approximately 30-40% around Green Bay. Gorgeous colors on campus. Maple trees have beat red outer leaves, while the inner leaves are dark green!
