FORT WORTH, Texas - Two 27-year-old reputed gang members who are both behind bars now face murder charges in the 1993 shooting of a 15-year-old boy.
Fort Worth police believe they solved the killing of Mandrell Carter last week after obtaining additional information from witnesses, one of whom refused in the past to cooperate with authorities about the events of June 6, 1993, homicide Sgt. J.D. Thornton said.
Senoca D. Harris, who was 16 at the time of the slaying, is accused of firing out of the car he was riding in and striking Carter, the driver of another vehicle, in the head, police said. Harris is in the county jail awaiting trial on unrelated burglary, drug and gun charges.
