RENO, Nev. — Follow that bar stool!
A bizarre slow-speed chase unfolded on busy Reno street earlier this week when police spotted Jarrett Orcutt, 22, doing about 35 mph on a motorized bar stool.
He was reportedly being followed closely by a woman driving a Mustang. Orcutt and the woman, whose name has not been released, were both pulled over.
The woman told police she had been on the phone with a dispatcher to report the rolling stool stolen. Orcutt told police he bought the stool a little over a week ago and had used it several times to travel between Reno and nearby Sparks.
The owner of the $1,000 stool powered by a small engine told police it had been stolen three weeks earlier.
In Reno, Orcutt faces charges of possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous traffic violations. Sparks police are handling the stolen vehicle report.
