It's been a murder case. They mentioned it on the Today Show yesterday.

And when they find the instigator of these terrible fires how about lighting this person on fire...AT least it may make the victims feel better.

Seriously though they should bring the full force of the Californian Laws upon this perpetrator as fires of this magnitude are no laughing matter this is completely different than a little muck around fire down the back yard this can kill people and destroy property very rapidly.

I heard somewhere that damage is already at least $2 Billion.

The whole situation is a terrible tragedy and the fact that there have been losses of life (including this firefighter) make the situation that much more tragic.

Truly sad.....when a wildland firefighter gets killed in the line of duty, it destroys the moral on the front lines, my prayers go out the family and friends of this brave young man.

The lost hunter that is responsible for the Cedar Fire in San Diego County, at first, was charged with a misdemeanor, discharging a firearm under extreme fire weather conditions (a flare gun). Now....it appears they are going to bring manslaughter charges against him!

Dennis

That's what I heard too Dennis. I guess this brave young firefighter was very active in his community and a really great guy. I pray that God gives his family and loved ones some comfort during this very sad time.
