Days Of Our Lives watchers?

I used to watch "As The World Turns" when I was younger -- way back when Julianne Moore, Marisa Tomei, and my favorite Meg Ryan were on. It was back during the Betsy/Craig/Steve triangle when Craig framed Steve for the Whit McColl coin robbery. I also watched a bit of Guiding Light, Another World, and Days Of Our Lives, all during different eras of the shows.

I've lost complete comprehension of GL and ATWT, and AW has been canceled. However, almost all the characters (and actors) on DOOL are still the same, although some of the kids are suddenly teenagers. It's usually not difficult to tune in on a very rare occasion and catch up on who's with who and who's doing what,although I prefer to keep up with my nighttime shows only like ER, Third Watch, and Law & Order.

However, one day last week, DOOL was shown at night because something pre-empted the coverage during the day (Jackson, the sniper case, I don't recall). I got caught up in it because there was supposedly a serial killer on the loose and Maggie was talking to him/her (we never saw the person's face). And now, supposedly, Caroline has been killed by the serial killer (but you know soaps, no one is ever really dead).

It seems most of the characters believe Rex is the killer, but I'm sure the writers have something up there sleeve and we'll be completely shocked when we find out who it really is.

So, for anyone who watches -- Who do you think it is and why? Have they shown any of the other characters interacting with the black-sweatshirted killer besides Maggie? Is this as weird as the time when Marlena was possessed? And have any of the other main characters been killed off?

I can't really guess because I haven't seen enough, but I imagine it will be someone I'm not very familiar with. I don't know much about Rex, but I doubt it's him. IMO, it won't be Sami, Marlena, John, Bo, Hope, Tony, Victor, or anyone in the Brady clan. It could be Celeste, Lucas, or Brady's girlfriend (don't know her name).

I think it is Stefano DeMera coming back from the grave! Now they are showing Caroline Brady as a ghost talking to Celeste, Lexie's mother. Caroline is saying that there will be more deaths to come, among them Marleana and Hope Brady.

I am a huge DAYS fan...as I have mentioned before. I definitely don't know who the killer is, but I think it may be Kate.

Yeah.

I am a huge DAYS junkie and there has been so much chatter online on who the killer actually is.

As far as the dead being dead -- they are. The cast is being cut by 10! :o The dead so far are Abe, Jack, Maggie, Caroline. The others to go soon are Cassie, Tony, and Roman. The other 3 have yet to be identified.

Maggie and Caroline? That's sad that they're taking them off the show. Caroline is the Brady matriarch (at least, of this generation). And Maggie's been there forever!

Abe never really got a major role as far as I could tell. Jack was funny for a while. Was it the same guy all along? I can't think of the actor's name, but I can picture him. Chiseled guy. I don't know Cassie. Tony is on and off anyway, so I'm sure he'll be back.

I never could get used to Josh Taylor playing Roman. He was Chris Kositchek before and I still always saw him as Chris.

A lot of people mention that about Roman /Josh Taylor. I guess it didn't bother me so much.

I was a huge die-hard fan of Days. Since about 1981. I put up with Carly being buried alive. Then a few other Stefano related storylines. I literally sobbed when Roman "died" in Bo's arms. Then of course he didn't die. A few other bizarre storylines had me glued to the TV and my VCR smoking (I wore out 4 VCR's before this one, all due to soap watching - Days, KL, Dallas, etc. LOL). Then Marlena became obsessed with the devil and well, I just said that's it - Days has become too crazy for me. And my very first soap ever was Dark Shadows. It was starting to go down that occult path and I didn't care for it. I much preferred the strong family emphasis. The Brady's - you gotta love that family! Jack and Jen......Kim and Shane....Patch and Kayla.....oh wow, this list could go on and on but the best couple was Marlena and Roman. I don't even know who the heck she's with these days.....LOL And for the record Diedre Hall looks the same as when I quit watching - how does she do that - never age?

As for who's responsible for all the killing - I read the soap summaries from time to time so I've heard many long term characters are getting the ax, sad really - my first thought was already mentioned here - Stefano (is that spelled correctly BTW?).

Let me know who's the murderer when you learn who it is 6 months from now.....LOL That's how long it take in soap world to learn things like that.

Shhhh...I'll let you in on a little secret. Diedre Hall is her alter-ego. She's really Electra-Woman and she'll never age. :wink:

Shawn - now where did you dig that photo up? Her sidekick looks very familiar too!! Who is she - the other girl.....? LOL at a young DH, she still doesn't look much different to me! She'll always be Marlena to me.

Apparently there was a remake with Markie Post (of "Night Court"). I don't remember that one. But I do remember Electra Woman & Dyna Girl during the Sid and Marty Krofft Hour. DynaGirl was played by Judy Strangis who, according to IMDB.com, gave up her acting career because she was being stalked, but did a bit of voice work. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0833405/

OMG!!! There are Days fans here!! YAY!!! :lol:

Because of my work schedule I haven't been able to watch Days cuz' Im sleepin, but this whole serial killer thing is crazy!! I can't believe all the people they are killing off!!! I want to say the killer is either Kate, Nicole, or Stefano (becuase if y'all watched, guess what, he's still alive....lol) I don't think it'll be Lucas or Sami..

LOL Mary, funny you should mention Marlena's possession, that is when I started watching!! Almost 10 years now!
