Arnold tackles language gap...

#1 Postby streetsoldier » Tue Nov 25, 2003 11:09 pm

The new California Governor-Elect has announced an agreement in which English, rather than German, would become the official langauge of California.

As part of the negotiations, Arnold noted that English spelling was in need of improvement and has outlined a five-year phase-in plan that will become known as "Austro-English", or "Austrionics".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The "j" sound will be replased by a "ch" sound, which will chust make things even more easily spoken.
Hard "c"s will be replased by "k", to further klear up konfusion, and the troublesome "ph" will be replased with the "f" sound. This wil chorten words like "fotograf" by 20%.

There will be growing publik akseptanse in the sekond and third years, enabling more komplikated change.
Double letters will be outlawed, wich haf always ben a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languach is disgrasful and it shuld go away.

Finaly, words kontaning "ou" wil be dropd, and al "w"s vil bekom "v"s.

Zer vil be no mor trubl or difikultis and evri vun vil find it ezi tu understand ech oza. Ze drem of a united urop vil finali kum tru.

if zis mad yu smil, ples pas it on to oza pepl. If not, "I'l ve bak!"
