Developing: Fight between teens leads to one youngster's death

A Virginia Beach teenager is charged with killing another teen.

The 14-year-old and Preston James, also 14, were acquaintances, police spokesman Mike Carey told WVEC.com. "There was some sort of dispute that escalated into violence on November 19," he said.

It happened in the courtyard of an apartment complex on Westerwald Place, near James' home on Margate Avenue.

James died of internal injuries the next day.

"There were no weapons involved," Carey noted.

The suspect is back home with his family and is charged with voluntary manslaughter. Carey added that he and his family are cooperating with police.

I hate to be judgemental but my gut feeling is that it's drug related.

Yea it probably was drug related. Where are the parents?

When a teen commits murder he/she is no longer a teen. Welcome to adulthood. Sad!!

Really a sad story and yes that kind of teen to me is an adult who does those kind of things.
