Powell: To little, to late

#1 Postby bfez1 » Wed Mar 05, 2003 3:24 pm

Iraq has not made the "strategic and political decision" needed to disarm, U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell said today. Iraqi steps toward disarmament are "too little, too late gestures" meant to split international resolve, he said.

Powell is correct. They have had 12 years to disarm. 12 years to abide by the rules instilled upon them during the Gulf War. The United nations has let them get away with breaking the law, now it is time for the United States to take him out. He had his chance and blew it.

Down here, there's a guy who has a camo-painted truck....and whenever we catch one of their bigwigs, or win a ground firefight, he paints a camel with the red "circle and crossbar" on the right front fender.

I've always thought that would be the sure sign too but I'm not so sure now. It may start with them in place....

i was wondering about that. It would seem to me that that would tip them off, but im sure we have been instructed to get them out of there first? or no?

We might try and secure them in place with a special ops team... that would be real dangerous but might happen...

The Russian and French diplomats, their families and other "nationals" have been ordered by their respective governments to leave Iraq as soon as possible; this, coupled with the "human shields" leaving in droves (LOL) causes me to believe that we ARE rolling...and none too soon!

"O af andak, Saddam!" (The traditional Arab acceptance of a challenge in his own language) :grrr:
