WESLEY CLARK CALLS FOR BUSH IMPEACHMENT
Clark Calls for Bush Impeachment Probe
Democratic presidential candidate Gen. Wesley Clark is calling on the House of Representatives to begin an impeachment probe into what he says was President Bush's decision to invade Iraq under false pretenses.
Asked by a reporter if he thought Bush's decision to attack Iraq constituted an "impeachable offense," Clark said Thursday, "Let's have that investigation done."
Asked next if he thought the president's decision to go to war was "criminal," Clark told the Associated Press, "I think that's a question Congress needs to ask."
"I think this Congress needs to investigate precisely" how the United States wound up in a war "that wasn't connected to the threat of al-Qaeda," the former NATO commander said.
"This was an elective war. [Bush] forced us to go to war," he complained.
Gen. Clark's comments raise questions about whether his call for a Bush impeachment probe was encouraged by ex-President Clinton, who in 1998 became the first-ever elected U.S. president to be impeached.
Before he entered the race in September, Clinton touted Clark as a Democratic Party "star" and has lately begun making fund-raising phone calls on his behalf. Clark himself has admitted that he entered the race at the urging of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton.
Clark's campaign is staffed by ex-Clinton advisers and campaign operatives, including Chris Lehane, who co-authored the written version of Mrs. Clinton's "vast right-wing conspiracy" theory in 1997.
Both the former president and Sen. Clinton have been seeking ways to mitigate the impeachment stain on their legacy.
At the outset of her book tour last June, Sen. Clinton complained about her husband's impeachment, telling ABC News:
"I would say that there is a very well-financed right-wing network of people that was after his presidency from the very beginning. [They] really stopped at nothing, to the point of perverting the Constitution, in order to undermine what he was trying to do for the country."
CLINTON IS BEHIND CLARK, too many conservatives were making fun of dean. they may wish dean had got the nomination.

this is what worries me about clark. he is an extremist(as in killing the unborn up to the second of birth). he is backed by the clintons, and they control the dem party. clark is rolling in cash due to clinton. a clark/hillary ticket would be hard to beat, and it would be a disaster for people who cherish individual freedom.

I have to disagree on the Clark/Hillary ticket. Too many people in this country still have a sour taste from the whole Clinton scenario including our former President Madame Clinton. How the hell she ever got elected to the senate I have no idea!!! Were the New Yorkers asleep or was there just nothing any better available???

i am very concerned for several reasons. the news media in general loves the clintons. dean and the clintons dont get along and dean is being savaged in the media. however, the media is ignoring clarks flip flops on issues. they are also ignoring his extreme abortion veiws.
what really ticks me off is conservatives like sean hannity have been constantly making fun of dean, not caring that there is someone far worse waiting to take over for himplus, hillary, like i said is a media darling.
one final point, and this is huge. the congres passed a law saying candidates can no longer be critised 60 days before an election. however, this does not apply to the tv networks or newspapers, and they are, with a few exceptions, far left. look for a torent of hate and negative comments about bush starting 60 days before the election in the press. and there is nothing private citizens can do about it, because it is now illegal for ordinary citizens to pool their money and buy time in the media 60 days before an election to criticise a candidates position on the issues.
i dont feel sorry for bush though, he signed this blow against political freedom.
the news media now has enormous power 60 days before an election, and we all know the media is pro-liberal, pro-abortion, and anti-gun, to name a few.

Yep, you got that right. We won't hear about the thousands of soldiers' families who support Bush and the war. (even grieving families)
We'll hear from the few who blame Bush for killing their loved one, etc.

I have more respect for our Military than you'll ever know. As we all know, the soldiers are doing a dangerous job, Bush isn't to blame for their deaths the terrorist coward scumbags are. To try to get votes with that argument is both unethical and proof to what I said before about the Majority of the democratic party canidates using issues and situations to the convenience to get votes. Sad...Sad..Sad. The real victims are the ones they are misrepresenting and the ones that really believe they carerainstorm wrote:southerngale wrote:rainstorm wrote:look for this to happen, gauranteed!! starting 60 days before the election, the media will start playing up big time casualties in iraq. also expect numerous interviews with grieving familes just before the election.
