Did you watch the Golden Globes???

#1 Postby bfez1 » Tue Jan 27, 2004 11:24 am

I thought Nicole Kidman and Diane Keaton were the worse dressed women there.
I thought Catherine Zeta Jones and Melanie Griffith were both dressed stunning.
Worse dressed man was Johnny Depp.
Best dressed man was Tom Cruise.
And Kevin Costner's dtr. Lily is beautiful.
JMO!!!

I agree about Lily. You could tell Kevin was proud too.

What was that Nicole had on? What was up with that head band and hairdo? LOL!!

Did you know that Mary Louise Parker just had a baby two weeks ago? Amazing.

Tom Cruise is a gentleman and loves his Mother. When they were interviewing Charlize Theron did you see how thrilled Stuart Townsend was? Just a chewing his gum too. LOL!!

I also thought Rene' Z looked great in her dress even with her weight gain. She should stay that size.

I wonder where Penelope Cruz and Lennie Kravitz were? Hmmmmm

Marshall do not get your hopes up about the Rings winning an Oscar, well not best motion pic anyway. They deem that a fantasy film. I was PO'ed that year when E.T. did not even win that. lol.

I'll have hope until they announce the winner :-) Since it was such a record breaking series I have faith that they will recognize the movie :-)

In most (but not all) cases, the movie that made the most at the box office is usually the one that walks away with the best motion picture Oscar. It's not so much that it's the "best" motion picture in the voters' opinions. It's that it was the best investment for the producer. So it's awarded by name to the film and by possession to the producer, and he or she is the one who gets to put that particular Statuette on his/her mantle. :)
