actually, i admire kerry and the dems. granted they have the press on their side. but they attack and attack and attack till they win. the economy is going great, but do you hear about it in the mainstream press? and you wont. where is bush? the white house is in panic mode, and has no clue what to do.

I have to disagree with your conclusions. You're taking a point in time which happens to be before the Bush campaign even gets started and making conclusions. There's a reason the campaign lasts until November. There will be a lot of swings before we get to election day.

if kerry wins, i think it means the terrorists have defeated the united states. the implications of that will be stunning, and disastrous.
this is how i look at it.............
it makes me cry to think so many brave soldiers may have died in vain in this war

Sheesh! Neither John Kerry nor President Bush is running for Dictator, for pity's sake! So in the worst case scenario, if John Kerry <gasp> actually wins, there's still going to be a Republican Congress out there to effect a balance of power.
I had friends who died in the Trade Center. September 11 changed my life forever. And I have very good friends serving in Iraq right now. No matter who is President of this country, the terrorists have not and will not win. Never.
Helen, we - you and me and all of the other folks here on this board and in homes around America won't let them. You and I and all of us have that power.
Dry those tears. Hate the Democrats so much? Do something about it, then. Get active in President Bush's campaign. Hate the terrorists? Learn how to be a first responder. Our CERT program has a wonderful terrorist module now and it doesn't matter how old or young you are. Everyone can do something!
I hope you're getting my point. I am working hard to get educated about the election and its issues. This board has been a good first step for mebecause I didn't realize how passionate people got! I haven't made up my mind yet.......I probably won't until we're much closer to the election.
But I do know that I am not going to let some terrorist scum scare the bejabbers out of me. Period. BTW, John Kerry's position on foreign policy is on his website. It's worth reading it yourself and not listening to someone else's interpretation.

“It is up to Democrats to understand and prepare for Fourth Generation Warfare - fighting unconventional forces in unconventional ways- so our nation can be better prepared to wage and win the new war.”
Senator Kerry is a strong proponent of providing our military with the resources necessary to meet the complex challenges of 21st century warfare. “We face critical choices in the makeup and structuring of the U.S. armed forces. Operations in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Bosnia and the Persian Gulf have highlighted changes in military tactics and equipment needs. Outdated military equipment may please defense contractors, but it won’t win tomorrow’s battles. A modern military means smarter, more versatile equipment; better intelligence; advanced communications; long-range air power; and highly mobile ground forces.”
RIGHT TO CONSULT A LAWYER. John Ashcroft has designated American citizens as “enemy combatants,” and has incarcerated them indefinitely without charging them with a crime, without allowing them to appear in court, without allowing them to consult with counsel or communicate in any way with the outside world. John Kerry believes citizens should have the right to a lawyer and that foreign citizens should be given the right to hearings to determine their status.
