Add two more North Texans to the reality-TV winners circle.
Chris Jackson, 27, and Monica Gonzales, 24, of Bedford took home the $1 million prize in NBC's seven-episode couples competition of Fear Factor. The finale was broadcast Monday night.
It must be love. Among the challenges the couple faced was bobbing for coins in pies made of duck tongue, pig stomach, fish sauce and maggots. Then they had to suck down a shake blended with the same ingredients.
"I wouldn't do it again -- unless somebody said, 'I will give you $10,000,' " Jackson said of the stunt. "Then I'd try it again. But otherwise, it wouldn't happen. No way in hell. It was funky."
It's uncertain whether the $1 million will go toward debt and new cars (according to him) or a new house (according to her), but an endless supply of mouthwash is probably in the cards.
The finale set series ratings records, drawing 18.6 million overall viewers.
