Georgia Latinos Object to 'Illegal Aliens' Label

ATLANTA — Each year, nearly 1 million foreigners unlawfully sneak into the United States.

But don’t call them "illegal aliens" because that's the moral equivalent of a racial slur, according to the Georgia Association of Latino Elected Officials.

"We do find that term very offensive and liken it to the 'n' word as well," GALEO Executive Director Kerry Gonzalez said, referring to the derogatory term used to describe black people.

Gonzalez is urging Georgia lawmakers to use the term "undocumented workers" when referring to foreigners who enter the United States. (Duck's note: shyeah, right...as if all of them actually work!)

But immigration control advocates say it's just an attempt to use political correctness for political gain. While racial epithets are used to harm the innocent, the word "illegal" describes those who break the law.

"When we have public discourse we have to talk about illegal aliens. After all, U.S. law refers to all of these people sneaking into our country as illegal aliens," said Phil Kent of the American Immigration Control Foundation.

My husband and I were talking about it the other day and my son piped up.. "Mom if we are aliens is that why you say you have eyes in the back of your head"!!!!!!!!! Do you think I could sue someone for confusing my son, because now he tells everyone "we are aliens"

may be undocumented workers but not all in the past three weeks there has been a cross border shootout between "undocumented drug smugglers" and the local Authorities, and "undocumented Most Wanted in Mexico" was captured by the Border Patrol and two "undocumented Felons" were also captured by the BP crossing back into the US after being deported for Life from the US after being released from prison-one for sexual assault on a young girl and one for Murder 2. If one is every 5 illegal is caught, how many of these low lifes do you think are here. To me, Political Correctness no matter which side it's from is Nazism pure and simple. They are ILLEGAL ALIENS !!!!! Oh, BTW these incidents all occurred within 20 miles of where I live and although reported in the local newspaper somehow never made it elsewhere since neither the Republicans nor Democrats want anything bad about these people to come out since they are both busying currying favor with the Hispanic vote to the detriment of the rest of us. That's why Bush and Kolbe will not get my vote this year.
