Apartment Fire Update: PART 1.. THE HEALING BEGINS...

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Thu Mar 18, 2004 8:48 pm

Hello Storm 2ker's.. I just wanted to let you know we are just a few mins. away from it officially being 2 days since the fire :cry:

The apartment still looks like a bomb hit it.. All the carpet is ripped up. The pot that started the fire is still sitting on the burner it was on :cry:

The cabinets are covered in soot.. :cry: Anything I had on the coffee table is MIA.. so my guess is it was either heavily damaged or even destroyed :cry:

My Jessica Lynch book is GONE.. and it's not in my bedroom :cry:
My telephone which was a 21st birthday gift is MIA {I bet the room-mate who started the fire is hiding it..}

It really hurts to just be up there... Please guys help me through this because I can't do it alone :cry:

I have already asked my therapist to help and my mom's therapist is going to try to help me too.. {She has 1 in the rehab center where she is}

Feeling scared.. :cry:

John, I know you feel scared right now. You are in new and uncharted territory for you and that is always scary-doesn't matter how old you are!!! Also know that GOD NEVER GIVES US MORE THAN WE CAN BEAR!!! AND HE KNOWS YOU ARE A STRONG PERSON!!! It is tough, but hang in there-we are here for you!!! Prayers for some peace and comfort for you coming in from West Houston.
