Azaleas are beautiful! I've got one in my yard
that has decided to be STUBBORN, and just
sit there - I have about decided to break out
the shovel and change locations! My bro planted it,
but, I think it needs more sun.

My Bradford Pear is in full-bloom. Don't get
Miss Mary started on Bradford Pears, btw. ;)

Annette - you'd better duck! A month ago, our township suddenly brought in 3 trucks - one a shredder/mulcher. They went up and down our street hacking off huge sections of our Bradford's. 27 homes, with 1 at least in every yard. Limbs were falling on cars, they didn't care. I was coming home when I noticed all this activity. Well, let's just say I flew into action - I ran up the head guy and said - hey, I live here and I didn't give you permission to do this! Answer I got back was many truck drivers and delivery people (mailman, UPS) had been complaining. Too close to the street, too low, etc. Our once beautiful trees look shabby, at best, on the street side. We have underground lines so the tops are okay. Still rounded. But I have to say it just illustrated to me once again we shouldn't have planted these trees in the first place. Oh well, what can you do? Anything within 3 feet of the curb isn't really yours anyway it seems. LOL

So be warned, if anyone is considering lining their street with trees or even just landscaping close to the curb, think twice.

Well, now that the snow has melted away and we have regular temps in the 50's, my garlic has sprung up. It won't be ready till later on in the year, but my two heirloom varieties are worth the wait.

The tulips are now in full bloom... we have some red ones and some yellow, but then we have a couple that must be hybrid or something. They are part red/pink/yellow. :eek:

The Bradford pears are blooming now... oh, and the dogwoods are about ready to take off.
