perhaps that is why our enemies want kerry to win.
no matter what you or kerry says, he has a record of hating the military and intelligence agencies. if all his votes had been enacted over the years, hundreds of thousands of americans would be dead.
one thing for sure. arabs will be dancing in the streets the night kerry is elected. and terrorists everywhere will have won a great victory

Well it is obvious the diplomatic way did not work either. This is not a police problem either so dont start with that. And please do not tell me that firing a missile at empty tents solved anything either!

It's a police problem in America, unless you want us to start using the military here as well. Perhaps we should invade Germany or any other country with terrorists. Well, you guys would probably like that because Europe is evil and full of "communists" (see my other thread). But I digress. Military is not the only answer, it's as simple as that. If you think it is, you are extremely naïve.

I see....go back to the 90's and use those old techniques that were so effective? We are doing as you say. We have arrested several groups in the US and are pursuing others. When military force is an option, we have used it. Diplomacy has won strides in Libya and is in full force in North Korea. Pres Bush is already doing what you suggest, but with more resolve. Why would I elect John "Flip-Flop" Kerry?

MADRID, Spain – Spain's new leader rejected pleas from world leaders Wednesday to reconsider his pledge to withdraw Spanish troops from Iraq. He called the occupation a "fiasco" and said Tomahawk missiles and bombs were not the way to defeat terrorism.
Prime Minister-elect Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero also said he would better coordinate Spain's police agencies, which failed to prevent the bombings despite knowing the whereabouts and potential danger of a top suspect and his alleged links with al-Qaida.

"The occupation is ... a fiasco," Zapatero said in a radio interview three days after being swept into power in an election that followed the March 11 terrorist bombings in Madrid that killed 201 people.

In the hourlong interview on Onda Cero radio, Zapatero said the 1,300 Spanish peacekeeping troops would be withdrawn by June 30 because "fighting terrorism with bombs ... with Tomahawk missiles, isn't the way to defeat terrorism. ...

"Terrorism is combatted by the state of law. ... That's what I think Europe and the international community have to debate," he said.

Zapatero noted that in Iraq, "there have been almost more deaths since the end of the war" than during last year's U.S.-led invasion, and the United Nations still is not in control.

The outgoing conservative government of Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar supported the war against the wishes of the majority of Spaniards. Spanish troops did not fight in the invasion but were sent in afterward.

'Our Allies'

this is another reason the terrorists want kerry to win. the spainish socialist has endorsed kerry. now we see that since spain was scared into leaving iraq, the terrorists are now demanding they leave afghanistanas well, or there will be more bombings. the terrorists know they can blackmail kerry. they cant do that with bush
