Now the question is: would AlQaeda launch an aircraft on one of these monuments, how would paolo react?
Honestly I don't know. I'm sure I could never blame a single nation, unless directly attacked by that nation.

They are beautiful pictures of wonderful treasures your country has.

I'm sure that you would react with anger towards Al Qaeda, no question in my mind.

Your reaction would be anger! Not to mention the innocent people killed in those buildings.

Take it a step further paolo. A victim in an attack against one of those buildings is your very own mother.

I find all too often that people are able to have one view when it doesn't directly involve them, and another when they are directly affected.

I'd have to say that us Americans for the most part, feel DIRECTLY affected by 911 and want justice served, dead or alive.

btw..beautiful buildings ---- a beautiful country

J, the ones who committed 911 are still free, alive, kicking and pulling our legs.
If I were you, I would be furious with my administration that started a war just for business, in stead of grant those criminals to our justice.
Do not believe that we are not DIRECTLY involved in 911, because we are.
None of us need to have a relative killed to be involved, my heart was and still is bleeding like yours.
For the first time you've been striked over your soil, never experienced before, even not in WW2. My mother and father still rememebr the bombs launched by Allied planes. They say you can't tell the difference among friend bombs and enemy bombs. They still remember that fear every time a news is reporting a bomb exploding somewhere. You can't talk so easily of giving freedom, if you never experienced what being under bombing is.
911 cannot justify all those killed by freedom bombs.
You say "what if I had my family in the WTC that day", I'm asking you "what if you have your family in Falluja these days".

You got me...I thought this was going to be a post empty of European rhetoric. Alas, I am wrong agian.

I refuse to feel guilty because Europe has turned into a Pacifistic Eutopia. Europes history is long littered with atrocity in the name of goodness. Europe, more then the US is responsible for the Islamic problem. The nations of Europe tried to conquer the Middle East on countless occasions. You fought countless internal wars up to and including the two World Wars. Now Europe has turned itself into feeble do-gooders.

No....Europe wants to continue the folly of the past 30 years. Do you really think that terror will end if we leave Iraq? Did it want we left Lebanon? France was the picture of appeasement, but now they are on high-alert do to threats.

Remember that along with the bombs we dropped on Italy, is the bodies of thousands of American, British, and Italian Resistance fighters. They gave all so Italy could decide its on future and so we can put up with the hatred out of the EU.

Climb in your hole EU. The US, British and East European Allies will fight the battle you fear so much. I hope Italy finds the peace it seeks. Thank you for the support and lives of your soldiers. We will not run!

European rethoric? Amazing! What about Mr Bush then? He could write an encyclopedia of rethorics and stock phrases!

Europeans did many bad things, and exported these bad things over the ocean... Things that have been well assimilated.

President Bush...not Mister, does not use rhetoric. He says what he is going to do, and he does it. The EU talks big, then collects its illegal oil bribes and spews hatred at the US.
