I can honesty say I have not been bored (in a traditional sense) for a long long time. I work enough hours (about 44-48 a week), am involved in community service, share with friends on Storm2k and elsewhere, have a TV show or two I might watch, and then get to my to-do list if there is any time left.

I have come to appreciate the few hours a week when I am in-between all of that.

Always school work waiting to be done..... or some cleaning. I try to find something productive to do whenever I feel bored, LOL.

What to do when 'bored'? Grab a 2X4, a hacksaw and some nails and put your creativity to work!

"Boredom", to me, means it's SHARPENING/CLEANING TIME for my swords, knives, and my No. 4 MK I Lee-Enfield.

Seriously though...when bored I enjoy solving easy/medium crosswords in ink, reading the paper, surfing news...and wx sites/checking radars/socializing with Wxbuds, watching TV baseball/football, sit-coms or a movie. :D

When I get bored, I go out and pull weeds out of my daylilies, or I take my grandson out and let him play on the swingset. He always has to have supervision because of a non fenced yard and he tends to get off and run around the yard, somewhat afraid he will run into the road.

Besides working 45-50 hours a week, I usually have some household remodeling or redecorating project going. I love to cook, so I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. In the spring and summer I'm outside redesigning my gardens or puttering out there. I'm a little bit of a workaholic so once I've worn myself out (LOL), I take a nice hot bubble bath and have a glass of wine!!!!!!   Boredom????? Nope, It doesn't fit into my schedule!!! :)

Sometimes when doing dishes, I'll watch the patterns and swirls of oil floating on the water in a pan. If it's a shallow frying pan, I run hot and cold water in it and try to get convection going. Or I'll let water run in it slowly, and watch the little streaks of oil get captured by the overflow. It reminds me of the 300mb plot of the MRF model.
