Those responsible for doing this...the enemies of hope for their own countryman, see us as weak and vulnerable. We have too much compassion in their eyes. Killing children is of no particular consequence to them, but to us...they are hopeful that public opinion will scream out for us to abandon our mission and go back where we came from.

This war on terror is a test of wills. While it tugs so very hard at us to find a way out where the killing of innocents will stop, it is nevertheless necessary for us to stay the course.

It is sad to think that there are those who assign so little value to a human life. It is especially hard for those of us who do.
