Well folks the prices will go more up at the pump as oil prices are for a second day over $40 a barrel. Now OPEC says it is powerless to stop the oil prices going more up.So who is to blame for this OPEC or the CEO'S of the oil companies??

Uh...let me GUESS? Try VP Cheney and "Halaburton!" As I posted in another thread, there are THOUSANDS of oil wells in Eastern New Mexico and West Texas (source, my father who was a rig boss) that are capable of producing OVER 1 million barrels a MONTH but NO.....CHENEY and his D*** company are RESPONSIBLE for KEEPING these wells CAPPED and OFF LINE.....this has NUTHIN' to do with the Nations Oil Reserves, these are FULLY operational wells but....like I said, LOOK AT YOUR VP President and blame his FAT ASP for THIS ONE FOLKS. I've backed Bush all the way but CHENEY'S FAT BUTT! "Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

Dennis, is there a financial incentive for Cheney to do that? Why would he? I don't doubt you, I just don't think I'm seeing the big picture.

Cheney has distanced himself from Halliburton. So there is no proof in the pudding there.

I am with Steph. I think OPEC is full of bull. They caused this by cutting production. After they cut production and the prices were where they wanted them to be they upped production to level them off. All in all it did benefit OPEC and the CEO's of the oil companies. And guess who pays? RIGHT!!! US!!

I know that Cheney has distanced himself from Halliburton financially, etc., but I still think that he has influence, just my opinion. I never liked him or trusted him and it's all based on a feeling.

Of COURSE he's gonna deny any ties to Halliburton, why wouldn't he, he's a DANG politician, do we, have we, ever believed a single word that comes out of a politicians mouth?

Jenn, your right, I have NO PROOF other than pure speculation at this point in time......but listening to my father (like I said, he was a rig boss for 10 years) and the thousands of wells he drilled that are sitting idle because of Halliburton, makes one wonder don't it?
