Out of the Frying Pan..Into the Fire!

#1 Postby azskyman » Tue May 25, 2004 8:46 am

I had a weather friend from Colorado who once wanted to experience 110-degree heat and 90-degree overnight lows for himself! So he made the trip to the land of sunshine and did just that.

While here, he took in the mountains, the forests, the red rocks, and a pool or two!

Looking at fares to Orlando for this fall, I noticed that Southwest Airlines this week is offering fares of $99 or less to Phoenix from just about anywhere over the summer months.

So, if you are wanting out of the frying pan and into the fire...check out those rates and head this way!!!

Unlike many places I have visited, you can actually see with great clarity a high-base thunderstorm in action just about any afternoon after the monsoon season arrives.

You might even see your own personal haboob while your are here!

Chad's parents have fallen in love with AZ and are moving there this summer. They say the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Plus, Chad's dad tells me that AZ is very much a politically conservative state. Is that true? Or is he just trying to convince us to move there too, lol?

AZ IS a conservative state-in fact, it's the perfect example of how badly the Conservatives can screw a place up like California is the quintessential example of how Liberals can screw a palce up. In actuality, I would think that going from FL to AZ in the Summer would be more like going from the stew pot to the microwave (on HIGH of course).
