According to former Ambassador Marc Ginsburg, as interviewed by Greta van Susteren moments ago, al-Zarqawi wants to abuse, execute these soldiers, and shock the Americans into pressuring the Administration to pull out NOW.

Another "Islamic" concern is the traditional disdain Muslim men feel for women in general, and the hatred over the U.S. employing WOMEN (inferiors) as combat soldiers against his "freedom fighters" and other Islamists.

He's also trying to play into Arab accusations that U.S. guards raped and abused Iraqi women at Abu Ghraib and elsewhere as a "convenient excuse".

it just shows that they are defeated. they are reduced to kidnapping now. on their home soil they cant even launch a major attack. as far as a woman soldier, i look at it like this. females, just like males volunteered for the military. to me, it is no more or no less vile to behead a man or a woman. what this means is that the butchers know they can only win in the media now. bush is doing a good job
